When we talk about Saint Joseph's Catholic Church we are talking not just about the physical building but more importantly, about the active Catholic community within Dalton. While the church building is the focal point of our Catholic celebrations, it is the different church activities by the extended catholic family, involving both the parish team and the laity which contribute significantly to both the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of the families in our community.

WELCOME… If you are new in the parish, please introduce yourself to the priests after Mass or at the parish office during the week. We want to know who you are to be able to better serve you. We hope you will support your parish by your prayers, your presence, your talents, and financial gifts. Please ask for a Registration Form. Fill it out and return it to the parish office, which is open between Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 p.m.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Our VBS begins this Monday, June 1, for rising Kindergarten to rising 5th grade. VBS will be June 1-5, 8:45 a.m. to Noon. Even though you pre-registered your child, please plan to come early Monday morning, between 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., to have time to fill out the necessary paperwork we need for you child to attend VBS. We are expecting a BIG crowd, so be sure to come early.

VACACIONES

Nuestro VBS comienza este lunes 1 de junio para
niños(as) de kindergarten y hasta 5o grado. La Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones se llevará a cabo
en la semana del 1 al 5 de junio de 8:45 a.m. al
mediodía. Aunque usted ya haya preregistrado a
su niño(a) , por favor, planee venir temprano el
lunes en la mañana, entre las 8:15 a.m. y las
8:30 a.m. para tener tiempo de llenar los papeles
necesarios que necesitamos para que su niño(a)
asista a la Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones .

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PICTURES

If you missed the pick-up dates for First Holy Communion pictures you may pick them up at Tamayo Studios. Please contact Carlos Tamayo,
at 904 N. Glenwood Avenue, or phone him at
706-313-6236. If you did not pick up the pictures
last year you can pick them up at Tamayo Sutdios,
too. Also if you did not order the pictures you can contact them an order.

DALTON, GEORGIA

February 14/15, 2009

In December, Father Jesús David
(“Father J.D.”) asked for some time and assistance to address certain personal matters. He is still engaged in that effort and will be away from the parish for an additional period of time. In the interim, Monsignor Bill Hoffman will continue to be the administrator for St. Joseph’s.

We will keep you informed and again request that you keep Father J.D. in your heart and prayers.

El pasado mes de diciembre, el Padre Jesús David solicitó tiempo y ayuda para resolver algunos asuntos personales. Él aún se encuentra en esas gestiones y estará fuera de la parroquia por un tiempo adicional. Mientras tanto, Monseñor Bill Hoffman continuará como administrador de St. Joseph.

MASS TIME CHANGES

During the week of Vacation Bible School (June1 - 5) there will be a 9:00 a.m. mass celebrated on Wednesday morning (June 3) in addition to the 12:05 p.m. bilingual mass. The 9:00 a.m. Friday Mass (June 5) will move to 10:00 a.m. All other morning Mass times will remain the same during this week. There is Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesday morning, June 3, beginning at 9:30 a.m., and on First Friday, June 5 will begin after 12:05 Mass. Plan to join us for Mass during this
VBS week.

CAMBIOS EN HORARIOS DE MISAS

Durante la semana de Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones (1 al 5 de junio) habrá una misa a las 9:00 a.m. el día miércoles (3 de junio), en adición a la misa bilingüe de las 12:05. La misa de las 9:00 a.m. del viernes (5 de junio) se
moverá a las 10:00 a.m. Todas las demás misas de las mañanas, perma-necerán en el mismo horario durante esta semana. No habrá Adoración al Santísimo el miércoles 3 de junio ni el viernes 5 de junio en horas
de la mañana. La adoración será después de la misa de las 12:05. Planee unirse a nosotros para la misa durante esta semana de Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones.
